Q.I purchased this motherboard to build my new system. After installing OS and motherboard drivers, I find that the CPU fan is noisy even under Tranquil mode. I am using a 3-pin CPU fan. How do I resolve this issue?
A.The default fan control in BIOS is "PWM Fan" mode. If you use 3-pin CPU fan, please go to BIOS setup -> Power -> Hardware Monitor -> Select Fan Type, and set the value "Select Fan Type" from "PWM Fan" to "DC Fan" in the BIOS setup. When using 3-pin CPU fan with "PWM fan" mode, the CPU fan would not function properly. Please make sure your BIOS setting is changed to ensure proper fan control on your 3-pin CPU fan.
